  • The maximum number of people that can be accommodated in a room does not normally include one infant in a cot, for which there may be a charge.
  • Where five people are sharing a room, the fifth person may be given a rollaway bed, which will take up additional space in the room.
  • Hotel rooms in the USA are generally spacious, but they may have limited wardrobe and drawer space.
  • Most rooms for three or four people have two queen or double beds. This arrangement is suitable for a family with two young children but may not suit two couples. Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts are available with more than one bedroom if required.
  • Please note that a 'water-view' room means water can be seen from your room, either at an angle or partially. In the case of lake-view rooms, the lake may be man-made or natural.
  • Your hotel room will normally be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival. On the day of your departure, you will normally need to vacate the room by 11am.
  • In some cases, your hotel may allow you to keep your room a little longer, depending on the number of Guests checking in that day. Alternatively, luggage storage may be available until you leave.
Smoke-Free Rooms

Please note, Disney-owned and operated Resort Hotels and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts are smoke-free environments. This policy includes all Guest rooms, balconies, patios, meeting spaces, restaurants, lounges and public spaces. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor smoking locations only. A room recovery fee will be charged for smoking in Guest rooms, on balconies or on patios.

Hotel Maintenance and Refurbishment

Understand how hotel maintenance and refurbishment work may affect your stay and how you will be informed.

Hotels and resorts carry out continuous maintenance, renovation and development work to maintain quality standards. At times, this may result in visible work or noise from equipment.

We will try to let you know as soon as possible before you travel about any relevant building or refurbishment work planned during your stay which, in our opinion, could affect the enjoyment of your holiday. Some building work may be necessary without prior notice, but whenever possible, we will endeavour to notify you in advance of known works at your resort.

Dining

Prices shown for all featured hotels are based on accommodation only, so meals are not included in the price you pay. However, we offer Disney Dining Plans if you would like to add extra convenience to your stay.

Travelling to the United States

Important information to help you prepare for travel to the United States, from essential documents to practical advice before you depart.

Passports and Visas

For the latest information on passports and US visa requirements, please visit the US Embassy website. Residents of the EU and EEA should check with their local American Embassy for the latest passport and visa guidance. We strongly advise doing this before booking your holiday.

Many travellers seeking to enter the United States for tourism for less than 90 days are eligible to travel without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). To determine if you are eligible to travel under the VWP, please apply via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) website at least 72 hours before departure.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you hold the correct travel documents for your journey. We cannot be responsible for costs resulting from your failure to meet these requirements and Guests who fail to obtain the necessary passport and/or visa will be liable for any cancellation charges or other costs incurred as a result of their inability to travel.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that everyone in your party is covered by a comprehensive travel insurance policy for the full duration of your holiday.

Your insurance should include adequate cover against sickness or injury. In certain circumstances, proof of insurance may be required by hospital services in the USA before any treatment can begin.

US Laws and Age Restrictions

Please familiarise yourself with US laws before you travel, especially if you are travelling with young people under 21 years of age.

US Laws and Age Restrictions

Please familiarise yourself with US laws before you travel, especially if you are travelling with young people under 21 years of age.

In the USA, you must be 21 years of age or older to buy and consume alcohol or to gamble. These laws are very strictly enforced and it is normal for young people to be asked for photo identification. Age restrictions also apply at all Walt Disney World Resort locations serving alcohol.

Health Care and Vaccinations

Before you travel, please stay informed on the latest health advice and vaccination guidance.

Health Advice and Vaccinations

Please visit the CDC website for the latest health and safety information for travel to and from the United States. If you have specific health needs, you should seek advice as early as possible.

Guidance from health authorities can change at any time, so we recommend checking regularly before travel.

Safety and Hygiene

Important safety and hygiene information to help keep you and your loved ones safe during your holiday.

The health and safety of you and your party is very important to us.

In general, safety and hygiene standards in North America are comparable to those in the EU. Even so, we recommend taking extra care on holiday, as you will be in unfamiliar surroundings, particularly if you are travelling with young children.

Please take sensible precautions and familiarise yourself with fire procedures, swimming pool areas, balconies, electrical appliances, glass doors or panels and lifts. We also recommend that you pay careful attention to road safety, sun care and diet. Upset stomachs are often caused by a change in diet and/or climate rather than local hygiene or food preparation standards.

We will endeavour to make you aware of any safety information relating to accommodation that you book with us.

Helpful Things to Know Before You Go

A few final details to keep in mind before you travel, including weather, payment methods and gratuities.

Florida Climate

Florida is a popular holiday destination with warm temperatures throughout much of the year, but tropical storms and heavy downpours can occur at any time, so it is important to come prepared. We recommend checking the weather regularly before your stay and pack accordingly.

Please note, we cannot accept responsibility for the weather conditions during your holiday.

Payment Methods

Credit cards and contactless payment methods are widely accepted in the USA and at Walt Disney World. We recommend that you take at least one credit card with you as hotels require an imprint as security when you check in. Cash in US dollars is also accepted at most locations.

We recommend that you keep your credit cards and/or cheque guarantee cards separate and keep your cash in more than one place.

Tipping and Gratuities

It is normal practice in the USA to tip for services. In bars and restaurants, the usual gratuity is 15-20% of the bill. For hotel porters, it is customary to give $1 per item of luggage and for Valet service, $2 is typical.
